Sustainable Journals for Youth

Client
Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board
& YWCA Hamilton (Canada)

Year
2025

Collaborated on the design of customized handmade journals for a middle-school sustainability initiative. The journals were crafted from up-cycled materials and embedded with interactive prompts encouraging students to think creatively about climate action and sustainable living. The messaging throughout the pages was designed to spark curiosity and make sustainability approachable, empowering young learners to see their daily choices as part of the global effort toward a greener future.

From Conceptualization & Prototyping

To Final Artwork

Beyond the visual design, I developed the copy and messaging inside the journals. Writing prompts and reflections to spark curiosity and make sustainability approachable for young learners.

I handled client communications throughout the process, presenting design mockups and refining the concept based on feedback.

Pop-Up Invitation for Fundraising Gala

Client
MY Voice Canada

Year
2018

For MY Voice’s “Behind the Mask” gala, I directed the concept and design of a 3D pop-up invitation sent to select social media influencers to drive event visibility and engagement. The invitations were shared across their social channels, with influencers posting the pop-up reveal in their stories, generating strong audience interaction and anticipation for the gala. I developed the creative strategy, designed the prototype, and oversaw production—coordinating foiling, embossing, and folds with printers to achieve a refined, interactive piece. By merging storytelling, precision print design, and influencer marketing, the invite became both a keepsake and an effective PR tool.
